What is Glycobalance?
A liquid dietary supplement in a 1 fl oz amber bottle, taken as one 1 ml dropperful a day. The carton describes it as a blood sugar support formula and carries the required statement saying that description has not been evaluated by the FDA.
What is in a serving?
Chromium at 7 mcg, supplied as chromium picolinate and declared at twenty percent of the daily value, plus a 15.47 mg proprietary blend of twenty-two plant and amino acid extracts. Water, natural flavours, potassium sorbate, stevia, xylitol and citrus extract carry it.
Is it a capsule?
No, and that is the main thing separating it from most of the category. There is nothing to swallow whole and nothing to break down first.
Where is it made?
In the United States, in a facility registered with the FDA, from globally sourced material. That is what the carton records. Registration describes the plant, not an approval of the formula.
Is it vegan, or gluten free?
The carton does not carry either claim, so this site will not make one on its behalf. Customer service can be asked directly and their answer is the one that counts.
Taking Glycobalance
How much do I take?
One dropperful, which the label defines as 1 ml, once a day. Shake the bottle first. Do not exceed that, because the carton says not to.
What time of day?
The label does not specify. Morning is what most people report, largely because a morning slot is easier to keep.
What does it taste like?
Faintly sweet and faintly citrus, from the stevia, xylitol, natural flavours and citrus extract listed under other ingredients.
How long does a bottle last?
Thirty days at one dropperful a day, which is exactly what thirty servings of a 30 ml bottle means.
Can I take it with other supplements?
Ask a pharmacist, especially if any of them also target blood sugar. Stacking two products aimed at the same thing is the error people make most often.
Glycobalance safety
Are there side effects?
None is listed on the carton. That is not the same as none existing: any supplement can disagree with someone, and twenty-two plant extracts is a long list to be sensitive to. Stop and ask a professional if anything starts after you begin.
I am on metformin. Is that a problem?
It is a question for your prescriber and not for a website. Bring the bottle to your next appointment so they can read the panel themselves.
Does it interact with grapefruit medicines?
Grapefruit seed is inside the blend, and grapefruit interacts with several classes of prescription drug. The quantity here is very small, but mention the bottle to your pharmacist if you take anything regularly.
Can my teenager take it?
No. The label restricts it to adults eighteen and over.
Should I keep testing my blood sugar as usual?
Yes, exactly as you were told to. Nothing about starting a supplement is a reason to test less often or to alter a prescribed dose.
